PREP ROUNDUP: East Jefferson and Forks volleyball win

CHIMACUM — East Jefferson came away with a 3-1 (25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23) win over Annie Wright, finishing the regular season with two wins out of three.

It was senior night for the Rivals (2-8, 7-13) as they honored their lone senior, Sophia Petta, who finished with 44 digs, 21 hits, four kills and a block.

Penina Vailolo had 35 hits, nine kills and six blocks, while Kaydence Plotner had 24 serves with four aces. Dylin Shockley had 22 serves and two aces, and Emma Joy added four blocks.

Forks 3, North Beach 1

NORTH BEACH — After an 0-3 start to the season, the Forks volleyball team won its 10th match in a row, beating North Beach 3-1 to put the Spartans in position for a Pacific 2B League championship.

Forks (7-0, 10-3) can lock up an undisputed Pacific 2B League championship tonight against second-place Raymond-South Bend (5-1, 8-5), which could tie the Spartans with a win.

That match starts at 7:15 p.m. today. Forks beat Raymond-South Bend 3-1 earlier this season on the road.
