Port Angeles: Roughrider soccer girls lose 2-0

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles came out flat against South Kitsap on Thursday as the Roughriders fell 2-0.

Capitalizing on some defensive breakdowns by the Roughriders, South Kitsap’s Brittany Zurn and Kristen Richie scored in the sixth and 17th minutes.

Port Angeles was outshot 12-10 and goalkeeper Julia Cheney had seven saves.

The Riders’ offensive player of the match went to Mandy Wood and their defensive player of the match was Ashley Payne.
