PORT ANGELES — Molly McDougal is the new girls basketball coach at Port Angeles High School.

McDougal fills the position left open by Mike Knowles, who resigned after the March playoffs.

McDougal has been coaching in an assistant role at Montesano Junior/Senior High School since 1999. Prior to that, she was the head coach at North Beach High School for two years.

“Molly McDougal will bring to the basketball program a sound knowledge of the game, outstanding enthusiasm and intellect, and a system of coaching values that supports the athletic program,” Port Angeles Athletic Director Scott Brodhun said.
