LINCOLN PARK BMX: Artwork unveiled for Sept. 22-24 state finals

PORT ANGELES — Expect to see as many as a thousand racers and their bikes to converge on Port Angeles the weekend of Sept. 22-24 as the Lincoln Park BMX track will host the Washington USA BMX Finals over the weekend.

Artwork for the event , done by Olympic Peninsula artist Todd Fisher, was unveiled this week.

Single-point races will begin Sept. 22 at 7 p.m., and pre-race for the double-point races will begin at 4 p.m. Sept. 23.

Finally, the triple-point state finals will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 24.

The Lincoln Park BMX Track is expecting at least 900 to 1,000 racers and their families. State champions will be crowned the afternoon of Sept. 24 after all the races are finished.

Spectators are allowed into the park for free. Any kid or adult can race as well if they receive a USA BMX membership from www.usabmx.com.

The last time the Washington finals was in Port Angeles was 2019. The Lincoln Park BMX track also hosted the Northwest Gold Cup Finals last year.
