Greene, Gagnon named North Olympic League MVPs

JOYCE — Neah Bay and Clallam Bay girls completely dominated the North Olympic League 1B basketball all-league teams.

Neah Bay’s Allie Greene, just a freshman, led the way as the NOL 1B Offensive MVP. Her teammate Cei’J Gagnon was the Defensive MVP, while their coach Justine Grimes-Brown was the league’s Coach of the Year.

The Neah Bay girls won the NOL and the Tri-District 1B tournament championships, while both Neah Bay and Clallam Bay qualified for the state 1B girls basketball tournament.

The NOL first team was all Neah Bay and Clallam Bay. Named to the NOL first team were Greene and Gagnon and their teammate Ruth Moss. Also named to the first team were Clallam Bay’s Amber Swan and Cedar Johnson.

Named to the NOL second team were Neah Bay’s Ryana Moss, Clallam Bay’s Patience Swan and Crescent’s Mackenzie Belford. Rounding out the second team were two Chief Kitsap Academy players — Brandy Boure’ and Quel-isha Brealen-Bayes.
