Tenth edition of the Bob Cup is a smash success
SEQUIM — The 10th annual Bob Cup Golf Tournament that honors the memory of Bob Duncan, a life-long resident of Sequim, was held July 26 at The Cedars at Dungeness and was a great success, according to event organizers.
All of the funds raised from the event stay here in Clallam County and benefit the area Special Olympics program, the Clallam County Orcas, which Bob participated in as a Unified Partner with his brother-in-law, David Dow.
The money raised is used to pay for uniforms, equipment, travel, practice facilities and much more. The program is run entirely by volunteers.
The winners of the tournament this year are Jake Tjernell’s team, including Jake, Lance Scott, Jeff Sparks and Jesse Francis.
If you are interested in participating with the Orcas team as an athlete or volunteer, please email Wendy Bonham at ClallamCountyOrcas@gmail.com.
