PULLMAN — Peninsula College goalkeeping standout Musuai Isaia has signed a letter of intent to play in between the posts for the nationally ranked Washington State University women’s soccer team.
Isaia announced the decision via her Instagram page.
“Super excited and blessed to finally announce that I will be continuing my education and soccer career at Washington State University!
“I want to thank my family for always being my biggest supporters and for the unconditional love you guys have continuously shown me. To my coaches, thank you for taking the time out to train me and for pushing me to become the player I am today. To my parents, we finally did it! We’ve been through many ups and downs through this long journey, but I’m glad we got the outcome we wanted. God is good! See you soon Pullman! #gocougs.”
Isaia, a sophomore on the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC)-winning Pirates team this fall, was named to the NWAC All-Star Team after posting a conference-best goals against average of 0.18 per game and recording 10 shutouts.
She will join a Cougars team that has made eight trips to the NCAA Tournament since 2012, including a stretch from 2017-21 interrupted only by the pandemic in 2020.
Isaia will join a WSU goalkeeping group that includes Nadia Cooper, the Pac-12 Conference’s Goalkeeper and Freshman of the Year in 2021.
