LACEY — Forks’ Marky Adams was named the Saint of the Game for his contributions to St. Martin’s University on Jan. 11.

Adams, a 6-foot-10 post who was an All-Evergreen 1A player for the Spartans, had a double-double for St. Martin’s on Jan. 11 against Concordia (Portland, Ore.), scoring 24 points and pulling down 11 rebounds, leading the Saints in both categories. He also added four blocks.

After graduating from Forks, Adams played one year for the Peninsula Pirates, helping his team make it to the NWAC championship game. After one year at Peninsula, he transferred to St. Martin’s last year.

Adams, a junior, is averaging 10.8 and 9.0 rebounds this season for the Saints. He also has 27 blocks in 15 games.
