PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles’ do-it-all junior Colton McGuffey is the 2017 All-Peninsula Baseball MVP.

McGuffey headlines a team made up of fellow Roughriders and rival Sequim Wolves with representatives from Forks, Quilcene and Chimacum.

Fellow team members are: Luke Angevine, Dane Bradow and Tyrus Beckett of Port Angeles; Gavin Velarde, Ian Miller, James Grubb and Justin Porter of Sequim; along with Chance Wilson of Forks; Lane Dotson of Chimacum and Andy Johnston of Quilcene. Karl Myers was selected coach of the year for guiding the Riders to a repeat trip to the Class 2A state tournament after suffering significant losses to graduation in 2016.
