ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: Noah Foster and Erika Williams, Forks track and field

Forks’ Noah Foster and Erika Williams put on impressive performances at a Pacific 2B League track and field meet last week in Forks, as both runners simply dominated the sprints.

Foster won four first-place medals, winning the 100 meters, the 200 meters and the 400 meters. He followed that up by also being part of the first-place 4×100 relay team along with Malachi Rowley, Gage Willenbrink and Bubba Stansbury-Hernandez.

Williams also took home four first-place medals. She won the 100 meters and the 200 meters, then was the anchor on the girls’ 4×100 first-place relay team along with Skye Hested, Jade Blair and Elizabeth Morrison and the 4×200 first-place relay with the same three teammates.

Foster and Williams’ eight first-place finishes helped the Forks girls win the April 22 track meet, while the boys came in second.

Williams has collected 10 first-place finishes this track season while Foster has tallied 11.

Athletes of the Week is sponsored by Swain’s General Store in Port Angeles.
