Rwehabura Munyagi Jr.

Neah Bay junior quarterback/defensive back Rwehabura Munyagi Jr. was the offensive star behind the Red Devils’ 58-22 Class 1B Quad-District Playoff victory over Taholah. Munyagi accounted for seven of Neah Bay’s eight touchdowns as the No. 3 Red Devils (8-1) advanced to a 1B state quarterfinal matchup this weekend at No. 5 Tacoma Baptist (10-0).

He rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries and completed 8 of 15 passes for 151 yards and four TD passes with no interceptions.

Munyagi has tossed 14 touchdowns on the season and thrown just one interception.

He also played well defensively in the win over the Chitwins, totaling 7 tackles and deflecting a pass.

Munyagi was a member of the state-championship winning Neah Bay boys basketball team last season, as well.
