The Sequim Wolves have won three straight games in the Olympic League 2A Division play, and red-hot Nate Despain has been a big part of it.

Despain, who runs the Wolves’ offense from the point guard position, began his hot streak started with 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a win over Kingston on Jan 11.

He followed that up with six 3-pointers, 30 points, seven boards and five assists as the Wolves beat North Mason on Wednesday.

Then, on Friday, he added three 3-pointers and 23 points in a victory over Bremerton.

That’s a 24.0 scoring average over Despain’s past three league games as the Bremerton win put the Wolves at 6-3 in league play, clinching a playoff berth.
