Jacob Madison started off right where he left off for the Port Townsend boys golf team in a meet last week against Port Angeles.

Madison led the Redhawks to a win over the Roughriders by braving terrible rainy and windy conditions at the Port Townsend Golf Club and shooting a 3-over par 38. He did that in a wind chill of 36 degrees.

Madison is a three-time state golf tournament competitor who finished 24th at the state 1A golf tournament last year.

Unfortunately, last week’s golf meet was the final prep sporting events for the foreseeable future as games and meets have been postponed for several weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
