Wolves host banquet, tourney

SEQUIM — Sequim boys basketball will hold a golf tournament and dinner and auction events on Nov. 16.

A four-person scramble nine-hole tournament is planned for The Cedars at Dungeness with a noon shotgun start.

The cost is $60 for the public, $40 for members/employees and includes green fees, cart use, range balls, KPs, other prizes and a drink ticket.

A “Meet the Team” dinner and silent and live auction fundraiser will introduce the 2024-25 Sequim basketball team.

The dinner is set for the Legends Room at the golf course at 6 p.m.

Color Run sign ups

Registration opened on Nov. 1 for the sixth-annual Sequim Sunshine Festival Sun Fun Color Run scheduled for March 8. Register online at runsignup.com/Race/WA/Sequim/SunFunColorRun.

This family-friendly event begins and ends at Carrie Blake Park and has 1k and 5k lengths, with color stations.

Registration includes a Sun Fun Color Run T-shirt, race bib, newly designed finisher medal, sunglasses, a neck gaiter face covering, and a starting line color blast bag. New this year is family/group pricing.

Registration fees increase on Dec. 1. Event space is limited, and the event is expected to sell out.

Sequim youth hoops

SEQUIM — Sequim Youth Basketball will host in-person registration for the 2025 season for boys and girls in kindergarten through fourth grade on Saturday and again Nov. 16.

The registration sessions will be held at the Sequim Middle School gymnasium.

A 15-minute player evaluation is part of the registration process. Players should arrive ready to participate with gym shoes and athletic clothing.

Kindergarten through second grade will register from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. while third- and fourth-graders will register from 10 a.m. to noon.

The cost is $65 for Kinderhoops, $85 for first- through fourth-graders.

The eight-week season begins in January.
