PORT HADLOCK — Registration is available through Feb. 14 for East Jefferson Little League’s baseball, softball and T-Ball options for players ages 4-16.

Registration is $75 for T-Ball and $100 for all baseball and softball divisions. A discount of $10 per sibling is available for families with a limit of five children.

No child will be turned away for lack of funds.

Skills assessments for all softball, Minors, Immediate and Major division players will be held Feb. 17-18 and announced on the league’s Facebook page.

A district-wide umpire training will be held Feb. 24 in Port Orchard.

Board members, coaches

East Jefferson Little League is looking for two additional board members for this season: vice president and lower scheduling coordinator.

With help from the player agent and coach coordinator, the vice president’s main duties are to conduct tryouts, player drafts and handle all other player transactions or selections.

The lower scheduling coordinator maintains the schedules for T-Ball through prep baseball.

Coaches also are sought for prep baseball (ages 6-8), a Majors team (9-12 and an intermediate team (12-13).

Other volunteer roles include independent skill assessors, umpires and concession workers.

East Jefferson also has advertising options available ranging from $20 to $500 outfield signs ($200 for each additional year).

Sequim Junior Soccer

SEQUIM — Registration is underway for Sequim Junior Soccer’s spring recreation season.

Age groups are filling fast.

Open age groups are: u7-u8 (2016/2017 birth years); u9-10 and u11-12.

The cost is $75 per player.

The season will run from April 13 to June 1 with Saturday morning games — except the first two weeks in May when games will be held on Wednesdays due to Irrigation Festival events.

Weekday practices will run hourly from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
