AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Lincoln Park BMX to hold free open house

PORT ANGELES — The Lincoln Park BMX track is holding a free open house and clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.

Lincoln Park BMX will also hold sign-ups for races from 11 a.m. to noon, with races beginning at noon.

If kids do not have a bike, loaner bikes and helmets are available. Long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and an approved bicycle helmet are needed.

Kids will get to participate at their comfort level. USA BMX slogan is “no one sits on the bench” and everyone is welcome to ride.
