AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Last-chance registration for Klahhane Gymnastics fall classes

PORT ANGELES — Klahhane Gymnastics is accepting registration for remaining spaces in its fall quarter classes during in-person registration sessions Monday through Thursday.

Registration will be available Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Payment must be made at the in-person registration.

Klahhane Gymnastics is located at 3318 E. Acorn Lane, near the Port Angeles Walmart.

Classes will run for eight weeks on Mondays through Saturdays from Sept. 13 to Nov. 6 for girls ages 3 to 14 and boys age 5 to 11.

Adding to the tally

PORT ANGELES — A pair of Peninsula Golf Club members recently added to their impressive career hole-in-one totals with two aces on the course’s 17th hole.

Steve Jones holed out with a 7-iron from 150 yards on No. 17 on Aug. 15 for his fifth career hole-in-one. The shot was witnessed by Jered Pomeroy, Jay Keohokalole and Gerald Petersen.

Perkins used a 7-iron from 145 yards on No. 17 Aug. 21 for his 10th career single.

The double-digit ace was witnessed by John Pruss, Larry Mcallister, Winn Miller and Craig Jacobs.
