AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: First Fed Pirate Classic sets schedule of games

PORT ANGELES — The First Fed Pirate Classic will be held Friday through Sunday at the Peninsula College gym.

Day passes are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, veterans, alumni, teens age 13-17. Children 12 and younger, Peninsula College students and staff can attend for free.

One of the highlights of the tournament will be the Peninsula College women playing Lower Columbia in a rematch of the 2021 NWAC championship game at 6 p.m. Sunday. Port Angeles’ Bailee Larson and Neah Bay’s Courtney Swan are now on the roster for Lower Columbia.

The tournament’s schedule will be:

Friday

4 p.m. — Bellevue women vs. Wenatchee

6 p.m. Peninsula women vs. Chemeketa

Saturday

11 a.m. — Lower Columbia women vs. Bellevue

1 p.m. — Chemeketa women vs. Wenatchee

3 p.m. — Peninsula women vs. Northwest Indian College

5 p.m. — Peninsula men vs. Lane

7 p.m. — Mount Hood men vs. South Puget Sound

Sunday

10 a.m. — Bellevue women vs. Chemeketa

Noon — Lane men vs. South Puget Sound

2 p.m. — Olympic women vs. Wenatchee

4 p.m. Peninsula men vs. Mount Hood

6 p.m. — Peninsula women vs. Lower Columbia

There will be no shoot around times available at the gym due to the number of games and teams playing.
