I’m heading off to Bali tomorrow (yippee!) and thought I had everything under control in terms of packing. Cute summer dresses – tick. Havaianas – tick. Brand new swimmers – traumatic process, but tick.
It was only when I came in to work this morning and found some Le Tan SPF 30+ Lotion on my desk (very thoughtful pressie from the lovely ladies at Le Tan), that I suddenly realised I’d COMPLETELY forgotten about all the beauty bits and bobs that go hand-in-hand with summer. Not surprising given I’ve all but forgotten what it’s like to feel anything other than freezing…
Anyway, quick smart on my list of products to purchase before tomorrow’s departure are:
True Solutions True All Day Moisture SPF 30+
Although my everyday moisturiser has an SPF, a tropical holiday calls for dedicated face protection. This one will keep my complexion protected against sun damage, while still providing light colour coverage.
Kérastase Soleil Voile Protecteur
Difficult to pronounce, but brilliant little product when it comes to protecting your hair from the drying effects of sun, sea, and chlorine. This will be a staple in my beach bag in Bali as well as throughout summer in Sydney.
NIVEA Lip Care Sun SPF 30+
Our lips are even more sensitive to the sun that the skin on our cheeks, but they often get overlooked when it comes to protection. I’ll be keeping this on-hand wherever I go to avoid a sun-cracked smile.
COVERGIRL Lash Exact Waterproof Mascara
Mascara rivers running down my cheeks as I frolic in the surf? No thank you! A good waterproof mascara is vital for summer as it lets you achieve full, fluttery lashes no matter what you’re doing.
