6 stylish (and clever) ways to organise your skin care

You know how it goes. You start with a vitamin C serum and then decide you need a retinol product at night.

Your friend then tells you of a game-changing eye cream and your favourite brand launches a sheet mask.

The next thing you know, your skin care collection no longer fits on ‘your side’ of the vanity, but it’s also way too pretty to hide under the sink.

Lucky for you, nothing thrills the bh team more than well-organised beauty products. And just like makeup storage, there are plenty of options for organising your skin care.

So the next time you’re up for decluttering, here’s six options for how to organise your skin care in style.

#1 Beauty fridge

If you’re a skin care nut and a sucker for anything mini, try this skin care-sized beauty fridge. It’ll keep your products cool for extra-calming and depuffing benefits (hello icy cold jade roller), plus it also has a ‘hot’ function if you’re all about those steaming hot facial cloths. Fancy.

#2 Storage stand

Plenty of floor space but don’t want to keep your creams on the ground? Try some free-standing shelves that’ll add height (and save you bending over), plus allow you to keep your favourites on display.

#3 Servingware

Got the vanity space but just want something to keep it all neat and tidy? Make bathware out of kitchenware by using a serving tray to house your routine. An ideal solution for the minimalists among us.

#4 Tiered stand

Alternatively, build up. Look for a tiered stand that can sit on your vanity but gives you a bit more surface area to work with. Plus, it looks damn pretty.

#5 Skin care cart

For the movers and shakers, a bar cart or trolley will make for an excellent maneuverable skin care storage solution. You could also add your body products to the bottom shelf and drag it over when it’s bath time. Convenient.

#6 Medicine cabinet

Weren’t blessed with a medicine cabinet in your bathroom? Install one! They’re ideal for those who really don’t like clutter on their sink space and they can still be satisfying if you colour coordinate on the inside. It’ll be your own private treat every time you open the doors.

  1. The marble and brass stand, so pretty! I have no cabinets in bathroom and keep there only a shampoo/cond and soap. Skincare is in my wardrobe, on the shelf instead of clothing. I have minimal clothing it seems and basics in skincare atm. It all fits.

  2. I need a trolley. Don’t want to get a beauty fridge as no space for it and trying to use less devices in my room. The marble and brass stand is lovely I would seriously put all my skincare out on rotation

  3. At the moment I have lots out for reviewing but I have a few plastic containers with separate sections from Daiso which are useful. Just don’t look in my cupboards! Although I am sort of organised by category.

  4. I love this! I’ve been planning a beauty reorganisation for the past couple of weeks. There are some great ideas here!

I gotta say though, I’m definitely not getting a beauty fridge. Seeing how much my clothes dryer (something I thought was a necessity with my family of 7, washing and drying one load of laundry every day) was costing me each quarter has made me scrutinise EVERY electric item in my house. If it’s not essential, I’d rather not hand any more money over to the power company than I have to!

  5. I too am sceptical of the beauty fridge and if it is energy efficient. It would probably be wiser to buy a mini fridge (no heating option though – which would probably eat up a lot of energy too!) But I would not be bothered with that. Maybe people who live in the tropics may be more interested that people who live where I do.
