While Blake Lively has admitted to trying some creative hacks in the pursuit of beauty, her Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester prefers a simple approach when it comes to skin care.

The 39 year old has just announced she’s partnering with Bubble, a skin care brand that prides itself on providing universal products that work for all ages and skin concerns.

“Bubble proves that skincare can be powerful without being overly complicated,” Leighton said in a press release.

“Their mission to make effective skincare accessible to everyone really resonated with me,” she explained. “I hope this campaign inspires people to find a little more joy in their daily routine.”

Leighton Meester’s Daily Skin Care Routine

Step One: Cleanser

Leighton cleanses her face first thing in the morning with Bubble’s Soft Launch Cream Cleanser ($25 from Priceline). But the light, creamy and hydrating formula is effective enough to be used as a second cleanse in the evening too.

Step Two: Toner

Call it the Rhode effect, but milky toners are everywhere right now — even Leighton Meester’s bathroom cabinet. The Buccaneers actress has been using the new Bubble Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner ($28 from Priceline — available in late September) in her routine at home, and we can’t wait to get our hands on this smoothing, plumping and radiance-enhancing product later ourselves when it lands down under at the end of the month.

Step Three: Serum

Just like the rest of us, Leighton uses a couple of serums in her routine to get as many active ingredients as possible onto her skin.

The Bubble Day Dream Vitamin C + Niacinamide Tone & Texture Serum ($29 from Priceline) and the Bubble Water Slide Hyaluronic Acid + Peptides Hydration Boosting Serum ($29 from Priceline) in her stash are easy to layer thanks to their lightweight and fast-absorbing formulas.

The Daydream Serum targets uneven skin tone and texture with vitamin C, niacinamide and alpha arbutin. While the Water Slide Serum promotes moisture retention with the help of hyaluronic acid, peptides and niacinamide.

Then, at the end of her skin care routine, she focuses on her lips. She coats them with Bubble’s Talk Back Lip Serum ($18 from Priceline — available in October). It contains conditioning squalane and vitamin E for a super soft pout.

Step Four: Moisturiser

No skin care routine is complete without a good moisturiser. Leighton’s last step in in her skin ritual is Bubble’s Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturiser ($28 from Priceline). It’s rich and creamy, but not greasy. Plus, it’s enriched with soothing aloe, and nourishing and moisturising vitamin E and avocado oil.

  1. Bubble “prides itself on providing universal products that work for all ages and skin concerns”, but a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for skincare, especially at different ages.

  2. I received some Bubble item from a Priceline box and I had no idea what to do with it. Might have to drag it out and check it out now then.

Re affordable products for me are the Boost lab products that I can use. First introduced to me by Beauty Crew in a trial and I have kept using for over 3 years now.
