My personal skin care routine

My personal skin care routine

Like my style, my skin care routine has really developed and matured over the years. Once upon a time, I slapped on anything my mum gave me, but nowadays my skin care and style are carefully curated and I’ve honed exactly what works for me. While style is far more personal (not everyone likes leopard-print Birkenstocks), my favourite skin care products might become yours, too – they’re that fabulous!

Morning Glory

I have about as much energy in the mornings as a sad, decaffeinated cup of coffee, so my morning skin care routine involves a face wipe. I know, I know, it’s not exactly ideal, but when you’re grumpy, it does the job. I really like the Yes to Blueberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes as they’re gentle and don’t ‘pull’ the way some wipes tend to. I then pat The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost into my skin, which feels amazing as it’s velvety and smells absolutely delicious.

Get Misting

Whenever I need a pick me up during the working day, a quick spritz of a mist is the perfect fix. It gives my skin a surge of goodness and makes me look all ‘glowy’. If I’m battling blemishes, I find Danné Montague-King ACU-MIST super effective as it quickly rids the skin’s surface of any acne-causing bacteria while keeping it hydrated. If I’m relatively spot-free (yay!), I use the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. A firm favourite of Australian women everywhere, this mist leaves skin soft, smooth, refreshed and dewy.

Sleepytime Slumber

I’m a HUGE fan of the Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA Acne Clearing Gel and slather it on after my shower every night. It’s not only good for acne, but the AHA/BHA formula is great for diminishing pores, dehydration lines and uneven skin-tone. I then use the L’OCCITANE Divine Cream, which is the one product I actually will never stop raving about. Everyone I knew who swore by this luxe face cream had ridiculous skin. You know, the annoying dames in life who flounce around all make-up free because their complexion is so plump, dewy and radiant. So I got a pot and haven’t looked back since. It’s won tons of awards for a reason – natural ingredients creating sheer product brilliance.
