Over the weekend, beautyheaven hosted a group of lucky members to test and trial products nominated in the 2018 Glosscar Awards. New to the Glosscar Awards? It’s an annual event that celebrates the best new beauty releases of 2017, as voted by beautyheaven members! To find out more about how you can become a member and vote, head here.

While there are more than 140 brands nominated in this years’ Glosscar Awards, our members had a great time learning more about some of the brands and products that have been nominated this year.

Here’s a rundown on the products the members were treated to on the day.

Estée Lauder showcased their brand new Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup SPF 25. The members were colour matched by an Estée Lauder makeup artist and given a full-sized bottle to try at home.

M.A.C offered members the chance to trial their M.A.C  Bold & Bad Lash Mascara, which is designed with a duo chamber package with two different brushes and two different mascara formulas in one.

Bobbi Brown gave members a full-sized Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color, a lipstick that offers the coverage of a lipstick with the feel of a balm.

Proactiv® presented members with their Blackhead Dissolving Gel, a purifying gel gently formulated with salicylic and lactic acids to help dissolve blackheads, to take home and try for themselves.

L’OCCITANE treated members to two products including L’OCCITANE Terre De Lumiére Eau De Parfum, a fragrance that plays on the tension between masculine freshness and feminine softness, and the L’OCCITANE Shea Intense Hand Balm that’s enriched with 25 per cent shea butter to nourish dry hands.

Beauty by Nicholas gave the members a product to take home from a range including their top-selling foundation Beauty by Nicholas Foundation No More and Beauty by Nicholas Eye Alchemy, Beauty by Nicholas No! No! No! Needles Relaxing Serum, Beauty by Nicholas Omega Hydroxy Night Rejuvenation and Beauty by Nicholas Plump It Up Facial Volumising.

Essano, a truly natural, sustainable brand, shared two products with the members on the day including their Essano Clarifying Clay Masque that deeply cleanses and purifies the skin and, Essano Clear Complexion Certified Organic Detoxifying Serum, a lightweight serum that revitalises the complexion.

  1. This was probably my favourite event, first time attending so the excitement was intense and the products were unbeatable. Im sure the next one will be similarly exciting given how long it has been due to covid!
