SEQUIM — Sequim Warming Center volunteers and Olympic Community Action Programs staff will host a fundraiser on Friday to help those in need stay warm this winter.
“Cool Talent for Warm Nights” will feature live music, storytellers and comedians from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10 per person, or $25 for a family.
Some of the performers will include Buck Ellard, Heidi Fivash, Farmstrong, Joel and Grace Yelland, Storytellers Club and Phil Morgan-Ellis, among others.
A donation bin will be available for coats, blankets and food.
The Warming Center in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., will open this winter from January through March when temperatures reach 36 degrees or below, organizers said.
Last year, the facility provided a meal, blankets and a warm space to 86 people for 1,002 combined nights.
Volunteers are needed for the talent showcase.
