Eli Hammel, City Of Port Angeles employee, puts just under 20,000 lights on the city Christmas tree in front of the Conrad Dyar fountain in downtown Port Angeles on Tuesday.
The 34-foot-tall tree harvested on port property near the airport will illuminate the downtown for the holiday season.
The official lighting of the tree will be Saturday, Nov. 29, around 5 p.m. with Santa doing the honors.
