Two Thanksgivings ago Rhonda Carrell couldn’t tie her own shoes.
She couldn’t button her pants or turn the key to start her car.
Times of joy and celebration were marred with agony and frustration.
“Just to walk was so painful,” Rhonda says. “During the last 20 years I couldn’t do anything.”
Things are different now.
Rhonda, who is 50 and was diagnosed with one of the worst kinds of arthritis at age 30, is walking daily and next month plans to achieve what once seemed impossible.
She will walk the 26.2-mile Honolulu Marathon.
