PORT ANGELES – When police officers told Mary Peterson and Pete McCue that their daughter Amy had been killed by a drunken driver, they knew it wasn’t real, that she wasn’t really dead.
But the experience was still intense.
Amy McCue was one of the students selected to represent people killed by drunken drivers during Port Angeles High School’s Grim Reaper program last week.
The program also visited Sequim High School on Wednesday.
Sequim students will have an assembly today on the topic.
Chimacum High School held a similar program on April 30.
A mock wreck was set up, and students role played parts of a drunken driving accident.
