A small earthquake centered in the Strait of Juan de Fuca due north of Dungeness Bay occurred early Monday morning.
No reports of damage — or even it being felt on either side of the border — were reported.
The University of Washington’s Department of Earth and Space Sciences said the 2.0 quake struck 12.4 miles under the Strait bottom south of San Juan Island at 3:14 a.m.
The epicenter was located 26 miles northeast of Port Angeles, 14 miles east of Victoria and 11 miles south of Friday Harbor.
