PORT ANGELES — An 18-year-old Sequim High School student is under investigation for vehicular assault after a high-speed rollover crash resulted in serious passenger injuries, authorities said Wednesday.
Driver Amy King was treated at Olympic Memorial Hospital and released after the single-car crash Tuesday on Priest Road, just west of Sequim, sheriff’s Sgt. Nick Turner said.
A 17-year-old girl was listed in serious condition Wednesday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Turner said. Previously, she was described as being in critical condition.
An 18-year-old man and another teen victim — age unavailable — remained in stable condition Wednesday at Olympic Memorial, a nursing supervisor said.
Witnesses reported a Geo Metro was traveling approximately 60 mph, well over the posted speed limit, when it hit a crested bump on Priest Road, police said.
