Program to address filing tax returns

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System and the AARP Foundation Tax Aide will host a Zoom meeting to discuss 2021 tax returns at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Registration is not required. To join the Zoom meeting by video, go to bit.ly/TaxHelpZoom, or by phone by calling 253-215-8782. The (meeting ID is 841 9631 9224. The passcode is 442812.

This 45-minute session will cover basic tips, common errors, necessary forms and documents and IRS online tools, plus local Tax Aide program plans for helping file 2021 tax returns.

Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing PATaxAide@gmail.com by 4 p.m. Friday. Real-time audience questions may be taken if time permits.

Patrons without home internet access have additional options for attendance: Call to join the meeting by phone using the number provided above, and to submit questions in advance, call the library at 360-417-8500 by 4 p.m. Friday.

People can join on a personal device using the wifi at North Olympic Library System (NOLS) public libraries in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks or Clallam Bay.

To do so, bring headphones to connect and listen in at any of the libraries, or attend from a vehicle, as wifi coverage includes all library system parking lots.

Those interested can join on a public computer or library laptop. Laptops are available for checkout at all NOLS libraries to use in the building or parking lot. All branches have laptops available on a first-come, first-served basis; the checkout period is three hours. Users must supply their own headphones, if needed.
