PORT TOWNSEND — A Port Townsend woman was airlifted to a Seattle hospital after she allegedly sped through an intersection and came to rest in a tree.
Zavannah M. Kettle, 19, was reported on Sunday as having been discharged from Harborview Medical Center. The single-car wreck was at 11:32 p.m. Saturday.
Kettle failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling northbound on Anderson Lake Road, crossed the intersection with state Highway 20, crashed through a guardrail and landed in a tree about 50 feet down an embankment, according to a State Patrol memo.
Troopers cited her for driving while intoxicated and speeding.
She was wearing a seat belt.
Her car, a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, was completely destroyed, the State Patrol said.
