PORT TOWNSEND — Saying he was “shocked” by the honor, Port Townsend Paper Corp. General Manager Bruce McComas received the 2007 Port Townsend Citizen of the Year award Sunday during the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce’s annual brunch.
Real estate agent and restaurateur Nick Harper was honored as the 2007 Business Leader of the Year during the Fort Worden Commons event that drew more than 100 people.
A special award went to multiple Business Leader of the Year nominee Tim Caldwell, chamber general manager.
Past chamber President Jennifer MacGillonie, winner of the 2006 Business Leader of the Year Award, announced that the Business Leader of the Year award will now be called the Tim Caldwell Business Leader of the Year award.
