PORT ANGELES — The City Council will discuss a proposed easement through the Rayonier property to connect the Waterfront Trail to the Olympic Discovery Trail at its Tuesday night meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
City officials are negotiating with Rayonier Inc. officials for a temporary easement to connect the Waterfront Trail to the Olympic Discovery Trail. The exact route for a permanent link has yet to be determined.
The easement will be temporary because of cleanup operations at the company’s Ennis Street pulp mill site, which Rayonier is trying to sell.
