Clallam and Jefferson counties have received the bulk of earthquake assistance approved for the North Olympic Peninsula.
Federal Emergency Management Agency officials are considering assistance requests filed in the wake of the Feb. 28 magnitude 6.8 earthquake, according to Congressman Norm Dicks, D-Bremerton.
Clallam County residents have received $59,292 to date.
FEMA numbers show 82 Clallam County residents registered for assistance and that $74,279 in aid is approved by the agency.
Jefferson County residents and businesses have been given $60,974 in aid to date — 64 residents registered for assistance and $70,441 is allocated.
