Hikers and bicyclists heading eastward out of Port Angeles know which way they will go once the Waterfront Trail is connected to the Olympic Discovery Trail through the old Rayonier mill site.
Now trail supporters want to find a route westward from Port Angeles.
A workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hamilton Elementary School gym, 1822 W. Seventh St., Port Angeles.
“A number of people thought that since there’s no real clear choice as there is from downtown eastward, we would invite the community to this workshop,” said Jeff Bohman, board member of the Peninsula Trails Coalition.
“We are eager to have everyone come and talk over ideas. Maps will be available.”
The workshop will be followed by organized bike rides and walks along potential routes, he said.
