Port Angeles and Clallam County residents won’t be hit with the dramatic electricity rate increases Bonneville Power Administration officials had warned about — but energy bills are still going to rise.
Jefferson County ratepayers should see no increases for the rest of this year.
Bonneville officials had said new wholesale electricity rates could go up as much as 250 percent.
But on Friday, Bonneville officials set the wholesale power rate increase at 46 percent, effective Oct. 1.
About half of that increase will be passed on to retail customers.
