OLYMPIA — This year’s legislative session was short but still beneficial for the North Olympic Peninsula, say two of the area’s three lawmakers.
“I thought it came out pretty well. The session took a lot of work but got it done,” said Sen. Jim Hargrove, D-Hoquiam.
Hargrove represents the 24th Legislative District along with House Majority Leader Lynn Kessler, D-Hoquiam, and Rep. Jim Buck, R-Joyce.
The district covers Clallam and Jefferson counties along with part of Grays Harbor County.
Perhaps the biggest victory for Clallam and Jefferson counties was providing liability protection for health care providers volunteering in community clinics.
