PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Police Department executed a search warrant pertaining to a missing person earlier this week.

“With the assistance of the Attorney General’s Office Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP) Cold Case Unit and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab, Investigators continue to pursue leads and conduct interviews relating to the disappearance of Marley Zimmerman,” the police department said in a statement Wednesday.

PAPD, the lead agency on the case, was at North Jones Street and Columbia Street from about 8:30 a.m. Monday until about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Police Chief Jason Viada said.

About eight PAPD vehicles were at the scene, Viada said.

The department borrowed the Clallam County Sheriff Office’s incident command vehicle as well.

Zimmerman went missing from Port Angeles in January. She was born in Port Angeles and lived in Sequim during some of her school years. She spent time in both the Sequim and Port Angeles school districts. She is a member of the Quileute tribe.

Mel Tisdale, Zimmerman’s mother, made a public request.

“If you know something, say something,” she wrote in an email. “The truth will come out, as truth does. Most of our community is praying for answers and accountability. Family and friends were everything to Marley. Check on your loved ones and be present for them.”

A Washington State Patrol missing persons information sheet said Zimmerman, 27, is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and has blue eyes.

She weighs 115 pounds and has blond hair, according to Tisdale.

“If anyone has information relating to Zimmerman’s disappearance, please call the Port Angeles Police Department,” the agency said.
