PORT HADLOCK — Five people have been arrested after a bizarre attack in which two of the five, a man and a woman, were allegedly held captive inside a Four Corners area home and beaten in retaliation for an alleged sexual assault.
The couple said that when they escaped, they were nearly hit by an SUV that was trying to run them over.
Two men, Richard Lance Cubley, 43, and Randall Lee Yackulic, 45, are being held for investigation of illegal imprisonment and assault.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies said Cubley and Yackulic claimed the attack was an act of revenge for the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl, a relative of one of the two men.
Their two alleged victims and a third person, who were not named, are being held for investigation of child molestation.
