A year-old survey of more than 900 Olympic National Park visitors shows that 93 percent think the quality of visitor services at the park is “very good” or “good.”
A public presentation of the results from the survey taken in July 2000 will be held at noon Tuesday at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, 3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles.
“We are pleased to share the survey results with the public,” Superintendent David Morris said.
“For people interested in the value of tourism and park visitation, the survey results have revealed important information.”
The survey also showed two-thirds of the visitor groups were family groups. Washington state accounted for 47 percent of the park’s visitors, while Californians comprised eight percent. Eight percent were international visitors, with the most coming from Canada and Germany.
