This year, a number of the volunteers have worked together to write, direct and stage this puppet show.

Play auditions

PORT ANGELES — Auditions for “The Sea is a Restless Whore” will take place at Peninsula College’s Little Theater, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., from

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

The play, written by Brian Boone and directed by Dr. Lara Starcevich, is about five pirates aboard a ship. Each harbors a dirty little secret, and each sings a dirty little song about it.

Actors can bring a resume and a head shot and prepare a monologue; however, this is not a requirement to audition.

Those auditioning will be required to read from scenes in the play, which will be provided at the audition.

The story line takes place aboard a pirate ship and will require actors to perform their roles with a blustery pirate accent.

Rehearsals for the play begin Sept. 19, with an opening date of Nov. 11.

Those unable to attend the auditions can email Starcevich at laras@pencol.edu to set up an alternate audition time.
