CHIMACUM — A 32-year-old Poulsbo man has died following a single-vehicle wreck at Center Road just off state Highway 104, the State Patrol said.
The man, identified as Adam C. Curry, was traveling east Thursday morning on Highway 104 in a white 1994 Dodge Caravan when the vehicle crossed the center line, struck the guardrail on the westbound shoulder and vaulted over Center Road below, according to a State Patrol report.
The vehicle came to rest on the embankment to the right of the northbound lane on Center Road south of Chimacum, the report stated.
The crash was reported at 4:46 a.m. Thursday.
Curry was pronounced dead at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, the State Patrol said.
The report stated the man was not wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. The State Patrol did not initially know whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
The vehicle was totally destroyed and was towed from the scene.
