Library system seeking public feedback on strategic process

PORT ANGELES — North Olympic Library System is seeking public input for its five-year strategic roadmap.

The public is invited to fill out a survey by Aug. 30 at www.nols.org/survey. Paper copies are available at all branch libraries as well as from the bookmobile. The survey also is available in Spanish.

“Success to me looks like everyone in Clallam County having a free library card,” said Noah Glaude, the library system’s executive director. “I believe everyone should have access to free knowledge, opportunities and a welcoming space to connect with others. This survey is your chance to help us create a library system that meets your needs and grows with you into the future.”

The library system has been conducting staff workshops at each branch to gather feedback for developing the 2026-2030 strategic roadmap.

The staff feedback will be combined with the results of the public survey and presented to the system’s Board of Trustees this fall.

Glaude envisions four focus areas to guide the strategic planning process:

• Collections and services that provide the right tools, books and resources to support education, entertainment, connection and discovery.

• Outreach and accessibility that make library services easier to access, whether at a branch, online or across the county with the Bookmobile and home delivery.

• Fun and engaging programming that offers meaningful events and learning opportunities for all ages.

• Supporting the local economy by connecting job seekers, entrepreneurs and small businesses with the resources they need to thrive.
