PORT ANGELES — Congressman Derek Kilmer will hear from constituents during a rescheduled town hall meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The meeting, hosted by the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, will be at the Elwha Klallam Heritage Center, 401 E. First St. Doors will open 15 minutes before the meeting.
Town hall meetings focus on a wide variety of issues and are open to the public and the press.
“I work for the people I represent and it’s important to me that I get opportunities to hear directly from you,” Kilmer said in a press release.
This meeting for residents of the 6th Congressional District — which includes the North Olympic Peninsula — was originally scheduled for Jan. 31 but was postponed when high winds closed the Hood Canal Bridge, preventing Kilmer from making it across.
Kilmer has held town halls in Bremerton, Port Angeles, Quilcene, Tacoma, Belfair, Poulsbo, Kingston, Gig Harbor, Montesano, Westport, Forks over the phone and on Facebook in the 116th Congress.
