QUILCENE — Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Search and Rescue team members have suspended the search in Quilcene for a missing 68-year-old Fife woman.

Search and rescue crews from Snohomish County, Mason County and Jefferson Search and Rescue on Wednesday combed the Snow Creek, U.S. Highway 101, Crocker Lake, Boulton Road and Leland Valley Road East areas but found no sign of Barbara J. Fraley, said Sgt. Brett Anglin of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

“The search for Fraley has been suspended at this point in time unless further investigation reveals additional information,” Anglin wrote in an email Wednesday afternoon.

Fraley was reported missing from her home in Fife, and endangered, on Jan. 28.

Deputies located her car while on a routine patrol and noted it was parked and disabled in the 600 block of Fuller Road, according to a Facebook post by the Sheriff’s Office.

“There is a high probability Mrs. Fraley was in the Snow Creek estates area at least until the 31st of January,” Anglin said. “Residents should check their outbuildings or properties for signs of her.”

K9s from Kitsap Search Dogs as well as deputies and detectives fruitlessly searched the area on Tuesday, the post said.

Detectives received information Tuesday that Fraley likely had been in the area for at least two days after she went missing.

Anyone with information regarding Fraley’s whereabouts is asked to contact JeffCom at 360-344-9779.
