PORT HADLOCK — The Wooden Boat Foundation and the Northwest Maritime Center will host a community open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
The free event will be in the Wooden Boat Foundation’s Cupola House at Point Hudson, 380 Jefferson St.
The open house will focus on plans for the maritime center, the two group’s 2006 maritime education programs, the schedule so far for the 30th Wooden Boat Festival Sept. 8-10 and the Wooden Boat Chandlery, which reopened March 1 under the new management of Adam Henley.
The Northwest Maritime Center has joined forces with the Wooden Boat Foundation to build a $10 million future educational facility that will serve as the portal between Water Street and Point Hudson.
