There were no major shifts in any of the primary election races in Jefferson County after 829 new ballots were counted Wednesday.
The only minor change was in the Jefferson County Sheriff’s race, where Democrat Mike Brasfield moved into second place in the over all vote with 26.56 percent of the ballots.
Republican Bob Hinton slipped into third place with 26.35 percent of the vote.
During early returns Tuesday, Brasfield had trailed Hinton.
Kristen Anderson-Post remained the top Republican vote-getter in the race Wednesday and Brasfield the top Democrat.
They will likely meet in the Nov. 5 general election.
The next ballot count will take place at noon Friday in the Jefferson County Auditor’s Office of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
