PORT TOWNSEND — Glen Cove could double in size by spring under a strategy discussed Monday by Jefferson County commissioners.
The commissioners instructed Community Development Director Al Scalf and his staff to propose an enlarged light-industrial zone. It would be based on a new understanding of state law regarding standing development infrastructure.
The proposal could expand the 69-acre zone to twice its size.
It still would be much smaller than the original 296-acres zoned as light industrial before the adoption of the county’s Comprehensive Plan.
