PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County and city of Port Townsend Housing Fund Board will review 2026 requests for proposals during a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The hybrid meeting will be in the county commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.

The board also will discuss its scoring process for requests.
The Housing Fund Board makes recommendations regarding the disbursement of 1590 and 5386 funds.
The funds are derived from a portion of sales tax collected in the county. The 1590 funds must be used for constructing or acquiring new units of affordable housing or funding operations and maintenance costs for new units, while 5386 funds are specifically dedicated to programs and services aimed at preventing or addressing homelessness.
The city of Port Townsend and Jefferson County have jointly managed those funds under an interlocal agreement since 2021.
