KALALOCH — Work crews have completed emergency repairs on U.S. Highway 101 near Kalaloch Campground.
Both lanes of the highway are open to traffic, the state Department of Transportation said.
The southbound lane was closed in March due to a failed culvert and roadside erosion. Drivers faced alternating single-lane traffic controlled by a temporary traffic light at milepost 158 while repairs were performed.
Brumfield Construction, Inc., of Aberdeen began repairs in late July.
The repairs included trenches and rocks to stabilize the hillside and assist with drainage and repaving the highway, WSDOT said.
After the new pavement cures, crews will return to the site to apply permanent striping.
Drivers can expect alternating single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers during the striping, WSDOT said.
